In 2014, Wroclaw's magistrate will spend more than 73 million zlotys for building works in schools and kindergartens in Wroclaw. Tender for building works in four institutions has just been put out.
Primary School and Nursery Unit no. 4(Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny no. 4) at Sołtysowicka street will be expanded by an additional building of an area of 2.4 thousand square metres. It will include rooms for five and six-year-old children, classrooms for pupils from classes 1-3, day room, a room for corrective gymnastics, changing rooms, canteen, teachers' room and vice-director's office.
There are also plans for building a playground and fencing.
Primary School no. 83 (Szkoła Podstawowa nr 83) at Boy-Żeleński street 32–38 will also be expanded, but without such serious momentum. The tender is directed at a company that will develop the canteen and renovate the corridor. The plans also include a reconstruction of the staircase, along with painting the walls and floor replacement.
While the renovation works in the Primary School no. 64 (Szkoła Podstawowa nr 64) at Wojszycka street will include replacement of glass bricks in the stairwells and painting the corridors.
The area around the Primary School no. 118 (Szkoła Podstawowa nr 18) at Boulevard of Icarus(Bulwar Ikara) will change significantly. The main area around entrance to the school will be redeveloped, and grass-plot will appear around the transformer station. The whole area which was the construction supply base near school is to be tidied up — there will be new benches and rockery.
Sports facilities are also to be modernised, the playgrounds are to be covered with polyurethane synthetic surface, there are plans for building a treadmill, and a long jump take-off.
